Phong's Spa & Nails opens in downtown Tamaqua

Phong's Spa & Nails, a new family-owned and operated business now located at 43-45 West Broad St. in downtown Tamaqua, held its grand opening recently. The nail salon, once occupied by Hess Windows,

was completely refurbished prior to moving in.Some of the services they offer consist of manicures, pedicures, nail polishing, nail art, arm and leg massage, lotion rubs, eye brow wax, and many other services. Their salon also has five manicure stations and five state-of-the-art pedicure massage stations to service multiple customers and services.The Phongs, originally from New York, decided to open their business in Tamaqua because they really enjoy how nice the people are in this area. Owner Phong Pham said, "High costs of running their three similar businesses in New York was a big factor to moving their business to Tamaqua."They also anticipate to hire a few more employees if business improves. Phong pointed out that they only use high quality nail polish, such as OPI, Essie, and QRS. They also mentioned that the first 100 customers will receive a free gift.Their hours are Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Their phone number is 668-1841. Both appointments and walk-ins are welcome.
