April 20, 1951 Lehighton sophomore Dennis Roth earns a win in his first varisty start as the Indians register a 6-3 Lehigh Valley League win over Palmerton. Roth scatters seven hits over seven innings, striking out one and walking three. Charlie "Mort" Stroup collects three hits, one a double, and knocks in four runs for the winners while Howie Sittler contributes two hits and a run scored. Lehighton also receive a hit and run scored from both Jackie Mullen and Carmen Martucci.
