Pocono Mountain Regional police reported a vehicle stop has led to drug charges being filed against the driver. The stop was made about 1:54 a.m. on Friday, April 15, along SR115 in Tunkhannock Township.

Police said Joseph Vitolo, 20, of Albrightsville, was stopped near the intersection wtih SR903 for a motor vehicle code violation. During the course of the stop Vitolo was found to be in possession of marijuana and prescription narcotics.He was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released. He will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, police said.
