White St., Summit Hill, seeking $14,022.53.Loan defaultNational Penn Bank, Box 547, Boyertown, filed an action against Cordell J. Strohl Sr. and Evelyn L. Strohl, 1135 E. James St., Lehighton, alleging they defaulted on a loan. The action was filed as a Confession of Judgment and sought is $200,927 and continuing interest.Insurance claimRuth A. Everett, aka, Ruth A. Bowman, 300 Fairview St., Lehighton, filed an action against United of Omaha Life Insurance Co., 3300 Mutual of Omaha Plaza, Omaha, Neb.According to the suit on May 20, 2010, the plaintiff married Rock G. Everett. At the time the plaintiff had a life insurance policy with the defendant through her employment as a postal worker. The suit states the plaintiff submitted to the defendant enrollment documents to add her husband to the life insurance policy. The suit claims through contacts with the defendant agent/employees, was told the enrollment was accepted.Rocky Everett died on Oct. 5, 2010. The plaintiff made a claim under the life insurance policy but it was denied despite the fact monthly payments on the policy were deducted from her salary and paid.The multiple-count suit seeks damages in excess of $50,000 on each count plus costs, fees and interest.Wrongful terminationDavid and Cheryl Silvonek, 1516 Randi Lane, Orefield, filed a civil complaint against Rauscher & Moyer Inc., dba, First National Pharmacy, 143, N. First St., Lehighton; Thomas Silvonek, 702 Mahoning St., Lehighton, Michael Silvonek, 2827 Apple Valley, Orfield; Celeste Silvonek, 702 Mahoning St., Lehighton; and Ann Dempsey, 2855 Marshall St., Falls Church, Va. All defendants joined and participated in acquiesced and/or ratified, including Thomas and Michael Silvonek, as officers and/or directors of the defendant corporation, in the wrongful acts claimed and set forth, the suit alleges.The suit claims David Silvonek was hired by signed contract as pharmacist and manager of the defendant pharmacy and his wife, Cheryl, owned 20 shares of stock in the coporation.The suit claims David Silvonek was wrongfully terminated and the corporation and defendants failed to fulfull the contract signed between the parties. Various allegations are alleged in the the suit including breach of contract.Sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of the multiple counts.Auto suitAlexander Sierra, 9 Wampum Court, Albrightsville, filed a civil complaint against the Ford Motor Company, 300 Renaissance Center, Detroit, Mich.The suit states the plaintiff purchased a 2010 Ford F150 truck with warranty which is detailed in the suit. The suit claims due to ineffectifve repair attempts made by the defendant through its authorized dealer the vehicle is "rendered substantially impaired, unable to be utilized for its intended purposes, and is worthless." The alleged defects or problems are detalied in the suit.Sought is damges in an amount "not in excess of, together with, all collateral charges, fees, costs and treble damages."Divorces startedChristopher Schmidt, 240 E. They were married March 17, 2000.Eileen Borrell, 5990 Little Gap Rd., Kunkletown, filed against Glenn Borrell, 435 Main St., Slatington. They were married Nov. 20, 2004.Jamie Lee Swatt, 4 Second St., Lehighton, filed against Gregory Leonard Swatt, 128 W. Hazard St., Summit Hill. They were married Dec. 16, 2005.Maxine A. Royer, 44 W. Walter St., Summit Hill, filed against Lennox O. Royer, 1375 Weston Rd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were married April 21, 2001.Insurance suitState Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., Box 2371, Bloomington, Ill., for David Heaton, filed a suit against Ceres Maria Lozada, 418 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning.The suit states on May 18, 2010, on E.
