West Penn Township police are investigating an accident which occurred Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Golf Road and Valley Park Drive. The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. involving a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in the middle of the roadway. One person received a minor injury and was transported to the St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, for treatment and a possible blood alcohol test. One of the two vehicles impacted with a utility pole, sending a Blue Ridge Cable box crashing to the ground.
