Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers recently.

On April 7 about 11:56 p.m. officers were called to the Wal-Mart store in Mt. Pocono for a report of an intoxicated female in the store. Upon arrival officers found Jamie Dejesus, of Tobyhanna, intoxicated and belligerent. In the presence of the officers Dejesus began to kick and punch objects in the store while yelling and cursing loudly. As officers attempted to place her under arrest she attempted to kick the officers and resisted them.She was finally taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.On Friday, April 8, about 6:10 p.m. officers on patrol in the Pocono Farms Community observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the cul-de-sac on Minisink Court. The vehicle, a Chevrolet Tracker, had three occupants.While making contact with the occupants officers smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The occupants were identified as Gabriel Roberts Jr., 19, Michael A. Nicholas, 19, and Jael D. Donaldson, 19, all of Tobyhanna.A further investigation revealed Roberts and Nicholas to be in possession of two metal grinders containing the residue of marijuana. No other contraband was found.The investigation also revealed that the three had smoked a marijuana filled cigar just prior to the arrival of the officers.Citations were issued to Roberts and Nicholas for possession of drug paraphernalia. Donaldson was not charged, police added.On Saturday, April 9, about 7:03 p.m. officers responded to Doe Lane, near Clearview Drive, for an report of two males laying in the woods. Upon arrival officers found Jose Gonzalez, 77, of Long Pond, and David Ramos, 43, of New York, N.Y. Both men were highly intoxicated.Both were placed under arrest and charged with public drunkenness and lodged in the county prison.On Monday, April 11, about 12:16 a.m. officers conducted a vehicle stop along SR940 in Mt. Pocono. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle officers detected the strong odor of brunt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.A search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. Arrested were Victor Bonacore, 26, of Ronkonkoma, N.Y., and Nick Bonacore, 22, of Pocono Summit. Both were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
