The theft of ice cream from a Schuylkill County business early Tuesday morning is being probed and up to four suspects sought.

State police at Frackville said the theft incident occurred at Heisler's Cloverleaf Dairy Inc., at the firm's dairy bar building at 743 Catawissa Rd., in Walker Township.Survellance videos shows individuals driving by the business in a dark colored sedan at 2:13 a.m. At 2:20 a.m., video surveillance captured what appeared to be two males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans breaking in via a kitchen window. The two were seen on the video taking possession of various containers of ice cream and placing them into backpacks.The two fled the scene and were believed scared off by the sounding of an audible alarm system. The license plate also appeared to be removed.A Tamaqua Crime Watch official pointed out that the movement and size of these individuals appears to be that of younger males and might possibly be the same unidentified individuals involved in many other nighttime thefts in Tamaqua and West Penn.Officials also suggested that these individuals might be using a parent's vehicle, and asked parents to check their vehicle's mileage regularly, as well as checking for unrecognizable Heisler's ice cream containers or tampering of their license plate.Heisler's owner Leonard Ostergaard stated his appreciation for the State Police's fast response.
