Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating an incident where two dogs were found dead in a plastic garbage bag.

Police said the bag was found along Green Road near SR196 about 3:59 p.m. on Friday, April 8. The dogs appear to have been two fully grown pit bulls. One of the dogs was a female with a white body and a black head. The other dog was a male and was dark brown with brindle striping on it.There were no collars or tags on either dog, police added. Police also said on Jan. 14 a similar incident had occurred in the same location where a pit bull was discovered dead in a cage.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 895-2400.
