Tamaqua Public Library offers free computer training for seniors

The Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St., is offering free basic computer training.

The Senior-Training-Seniors Program offers one-on-one computer instruction.The public can also be served on a space-available basis.The program is being offered at the library, Monday through Thursday, during normal operating hours.Call Bill or Patricia at (570) 668-0401 or (570) 668-4660 for more information.The library is also asking the public's help to complete its yearbook collection.The library is in the process of compiling a complete set of yearbooks for the following area schools: Tamaqua High School (unknown date to 1960); Tamaqua Area High School (1960-present); Coaldale High School (unknown date to 1963); and Marian High School (unknown date to present).The collection is still missing books from the following years: Tamaqua High School's "The Sphinx": 1920, 1921, 1942, 1946, 1955, 1957-1959, 1960, 1962-1963, 1967, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1986, 1988, 1991, 1992, 2007-2009. Coaldale High School's "The Stentor": 1930-1932, 1948-1963 and Marian High School: 1980, 1981, 1986-2008.If anyone has yearbooks that they would like to donate to the library to help complete the collection, call (570) 668-4660 or email
