The second meeting to organize a Carbon County Labor Council will be held on Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at the Lansford AMVETS in the downstairs meeting room. The AMVETS is located at 201 W. Ridge St. in Lansford.

The Labor Council will be open to both retired and active members of Labor Unions (the union does not have to be located within Carbon County).The first organizing meeting was held in March with 35 Union Members representing 14 unions attending. The first meeting was focused on the purpose and organizational framework of a Labor Council. At the upcoming meeting, a proposed constitution will be reviewed and members will learn how to become official delegates to the Council.Call Linda Christman at 610-377-0235 with any questions.
