In the only scholastic sporting event held yesterday in the TIMES NEWS area, the Pleasant Valley track teams posted a non-league sweep over visiting Hazleton.

The Pleasant Valley boys earned an 86-55 victory. The Bears captured 10 of 17 events, including both relays. Eight different Bears captured individual wins.Kelecia Harris led the Lady Bears to a 79-65 victory over the Cougars. Harris placed first in four individual events (100, 200, 400, long jump).
