The Pleasant Valley School District school board will meet at 8 p.m., Thursday, April 14, in the district offices in Brodheadsville.Give and Take DayAs part of Chestnuthill Township's 41st Anniversary Earth Day Activities, Close the Loop, LLC will be coordinating a Give and Take Day on Saturday, April 16, at the Chestnuthill Township Park on Route 715 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.Give and Take Days are a way to reuse items that are too good to throw away, but one doesn't have a use for anymore.Bring any reusable items between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., then take away anything from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (it's free and one doesn't have to bring something to take something).Example of what one can bring: furniture and household goods, pots/pans, books, CDs, DVDs, toys, bric-a-brac, bikes, plants, kitchenware, garden tools, furniture (must be in good shape to be accepted), quality clothes, etc.Things that will not be accepted include: electronics, TVs, computer monitors, tires, etc.Note: Township residents can take electronics to the township recycling center at no charge.One must provide one's own vehicle for transporting items.
