Guns taken in Monroe break-in

Guns were reported taken in a Monroe County burglary. The break-in is one of several incidents reported by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said the home of Jesse Harrell, 50, of 119 Gower Lane, Saylorsburg, Eldred Township, was entered sometime between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on April 6. Entry was gained through an unsecured door. Taken were three handguns from a unsecured gun safe. Also removed was a Playstation video game console from the living room.Ronald Snyder, 72, of Ore St., Bowmanstown, Carbon County, reported someone stole the blue light from the stop of his vehicle while parked near his residence. The theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, and 9 a.m. on Sunday. The light is valued at $250.Kim Scheller, 52, of 3430 Meixell Valley Rd., in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone stole a Stihl chainsaw for the garage area of the residence. The theft occurred sometime between May 29, 2010, and Saturday, April 9.Troopers reported that three male juveniles, ages 11, 12 and 13, entered the home of James Quinton McClure, 71, of 1720 Black Oak Drive, in Eldo Lakes development in Polk Township, and removed various items. The incident occurred about 1:50 p.m. on April 3.
