DUI arrests reported by PSP

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on several driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

Troopers said about 7:51 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, Sherrie Ann Walsh, 40, of Saylorsburg, was stopped while operating a 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier for traffic violations. The stop was made along Kunkletown Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.On Friday, April 8, about 11:17 p.m. troopers stopped Ricky McFarland, 53, of Weissport, at Park and Bridge sts., in Weissport, Carbon County, for several motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI. The DUI charge is pending blood test results, troopers said.On Saturday, April 9, about 5:17 p.m. troopers stopped David Allen Smith, 53, of Lehighton, operating a 1984 Ford F150 truck along SR209 near Bridge St., in Lehighton, for motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol, prescription pills and marijuana, troopers allege. In addition to the DUI charge, a charge of possession of marijuana will be filed against Smith.Also on Saturday, about 1:14 a.m., troopers stopped Sammy Tambasco, 20, of Effort, along Mountain View Road, near Green Hill Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and will be charged with DUI, troopers said.
