The Jim Thorpe Olympian Touchdown Club will meet this evening, Monday, at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. Parents, guardians, relatives and friends of the Jim Thorpe football participants are invited to attend the monthly meetings and help in any with upcoming events of the club.

Fire company meetingMembers of the Phoenix Fire Company, will meet on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at the company headquarters.Community Lenten serviceThe Jim Thorpe Ministerium will sponsor a community Lenten service on Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at Christ United Church of Christ, 4th and Center streets. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Ruth Doty.Prior to the service, a sacrificial meal of mush and potato soup will be held at the church, from 4-6 p.m. There will be a free will donation accepted and the money will be given to "Family First."Community supperSt. Mark's Episcopal Church will host its monthly free community supper on Sunday, April 17, from 4-6 p.m. The menu for this month will be a ham dinner.
