Harkins Jr. was granted a divorce from Barbara J Harkins, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married June 11, 1998.Jennifer A. Livingston was granted a divorce from Michael S. Livingston, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married Nov. 13, 1999.Pamela L. Fredericks, Hegins, was granted a divorce from Edward V. Fredericks, Berks County Prison. They were married April 2 9, 2000.Appeal is lateJennifer Giranda, 36, of 51 Bridge St., McAdoo, filed an appeal from a summary conviction by a district magistrate of a charge of failing to have dog vaccinated as required by law. The charge was filed by Agent Diane Buhl, of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Dog Law Registration Division.Judge John E. Domalakes ruled the Commonwealth's motion to dismiss the appeal for lack of jurisdiction is granted. The court also found the appeal was not from the citation for dangerous dogs. Domalakes ruled his sentence is a final order unless Giranda appeals to the state Superior Court within 30 days and then he would stay his order pending outcome of the appeal. Giranda was fined $100 plus $70 cost by the district judge who adjuged her guilty of the charge.Terminate ARDDylan Russell Cook, 22, Schuylkill Haven, was removed from the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine for violating terms fixed by the court. Cook now faces trial on charles of driving under inthe influence (DUI) of alcohol as cited by Pine Grove Cpl. Jeffrey Futchko.Krista M. Stephens, 35, Barnesville, formerly of Shenandoah, was removed from the ARD program by President Judge William E. Baldwin. She now faces trial on charges of DUI. She was cited by Mahanoy City Officer Jonathan McHugh.Angelo Maldonaldo, 19, Mahanoy City, was removed from the program by Baldwin. He faces trial on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia as cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse.Pleads guiltyJoseph Angel Rivera Jr., Pottsville, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Pottsville and was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller to serve 60 to 120 months in a state correcitonal institution, pay a fine of $1,000, $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and make restitution of $919 to Bethlehem Regional Lab.On a second charge of possession with intent to deliver received a fine of $500 and a concurrent sentence of 21 months to 42 months. He received credit for serving 210 days in the county prison. Rivera wa cited by Pottsville police.Modify sentenceChristopher James Somereve, 32, Pottsville, who was sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin on Feb. 2 to serve 90 days to five years in the county prison on a DUI charage. Baldwin held a hearing on a petition to modify the sentence and issued a new sentencing order. The defendant's 90 day minimum sentence was reduced to 30 days and the remainding 60 days shall be served on house arrest with electronic monitoring.Bail hearingsJudge Jacqueline Russell held hearings for modifications of bail and handed down the following rulings:Christopher Sanders, 21, of 87 Game Land Drive, Tamaqua (Walker Township), had his bail set at $35,000 unsecured. He faces charges of giving false information to police.Justin Ryan Green, 23, of 128 Pineview Lane, New Ringgold, had his bail set at $35,000 unsecured. He faces drug charges.Christopher Lance Buck, 25, Shenandoah, had his bail set at $50,000 unsecured. He faces charges of burglary.Richard Joseph Jakubac, 59, of Mahanoy City, had his bail set at $ 25,000 unsecured. He faces charges of involement in illegal drugs.Phillip Michael Hotak, 29, Palo Alto, at his bail set at $50,000 unsecured. He faces charges of simple assault.(Unsecured bail is the defendant does not post any cash, however, if he fails to keep court appearances then he is liable for the amount of bail fixed by the court).Edmund John McGovern, 52, Frackville, had his bail set at $2,000 cash. After a trial a jury could not reach a verdict on several charges which he still faces. They are, indecent assault, indecent exposure and corruptions of a minor.He was found not guilty of charges of rape of a child, having involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault without consent, aggravate indecent assault with person under age13 and statutory sexual assault.Revoke paroleGermain B. Arroyo, 21, Bernville, Berks County, had his parole revoked by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine and he was resentenced on a charge of corruption of minors and retail theft to undergo incarceration in the county prison for one to 23 months with the sentence to run concurrent with those imposed in Berks and Lebaon counties. He also shall be granted immediate parole if there are no prison misconducts.Angel Nicole Christ, 21, Port Carbon, had her probation revoked by Judge Baldwin for the second time and she was committed to the county prison to serve the balance of her sentence with credit of 36 days served and 27 days in a rehab center Her 68 days of liberty were taken away and added to the maximum sentence. Christ pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and twice was placed on probation.Raymond Gerald Sadusky, 27, Shenandoah, had his parolel revoked by Judge Baldwin and he was resentenced on a chage of possession of a controlled substance to serve three to 12 months in the county prison with credit for 40 days served. He had pleaded guilty to the charge and was placed on probation.
