Schuylkill incident

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident that occurred during the early hours of Sunday, April 3, in the borough of Cressona.

Troopers said about 2:20 a.m. Gray Troy, 34, of Shenandoah, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado along SR183 and behind a Jeep Cherokee, white in color. In the area of Second Street, when the Jeep stopped in the middle of the road with several persons exiting it and running back to Troy's vehicle. The unknown persons then began to pound on the windows of Troy's vehicle.Troy fled the scene and was followed by the Jeep. The Jeep passed Troy in the area of Hoy's Used Cars on 183 and blocked the road forcing Troy to stop.The group exited the Jeep again and ran to Troy's vehicle. One of the group then kicked the right rear quarterpanel of the Silverado causing a large dent. The suspects then got into the Jeep and fled the scene. The Jeep was described as a new model, possibly a 2010-2011.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
