West End Rotary Club presents $2,500 to Jackson Township Vol. Fire Co.

The West End Rotary Club presented a check for $2,500 to the Jackson Township Vol. Fire Co. at its Membership Mixer at Ye Old Saylor's Inn.

"It will alarm us is we're in an environment that could explode and or has poisonous gases," said Elliott.Currently the fire company has one but it only identifies CO (Carbon Monoxide). The new one will identify, CO, LEL (Lower Explosive Limits), O2 (oxygen), H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) and HCN (Hydrogen cyanide).They will purchase the calibration kit and a gas cylinder to go with it.They plan to notify the surrounding area fire companies that they will have the MSA 5 Gas Analyzer and will offer it to them if needed.
