Man charged with theft in Tamaqua

A Lansford man has been charged by Tamaqua police following a March 22 incident at the Hess Express Station, 307 S. Center St.

Anthony Napolitano, 26, of 13 N. Walnut St., reportedly entered the station at about 2:45 p.m. He then removed two quarts of 10W30 motor oil from the premises without making payment. The action was witnessed by the store manager and was recorded on surveillance equipment.Napolitano was taken into custody and back to the store where he was positively identified. He was then given the opportunity to pay for the oil but declined.He was cited for theft by unlawful taking.
