State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a one vehicle crash about 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, along Seltzer Road near Fishbach St., in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Alexandra R. Francis, 17, of Port Carbon, was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty eastbound and negotiating a left curve. The Liberty traveled off the right side of the road and Francis attempted to correct it, troopers said. The rear portion of the Liberty then swung out to the left and impacted with an embankment along the berm which caused the Liberty to become airborne. The Liberty then overturned onto its roof and then landed on its wheels facing south in the eastbound lane.Francis was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment of minor injuries.Troopers said she was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
