Tribute dinner held in New Ringgold for firefighters

Members of the Blue Mountain Christian Retreat in New Ringgold held a tribute and appreciation dinner for firefighters on Saturday in their retreat's gym for all the volunteer emergency responders who responded to the fire that occurred at the retreat last November. During the dinner, members talked about future plans of the retreat, which was originally founded in 1974, and the upcoming breaking ground ceremony for their new building. They also had many words of inspiration and appreciation for all the firefighters and emergency responders that helped during the fire. In addition to the free dinner, the emergency responders were given a spring plant and other gifts of appreciation. The retreat is still open and functioning as normal. They also have a blog showing the devastation and upcoming future plans for rebuilding. It is
