A proposed policy before the Pleasant Valley School District would require a "health" team to decide whether to admit or exclude a child with AIDS from attending classes, but the child's identity would not be released, board president Gail Burney said. A policy has been drawn up that favors neither mandatory admittance nor exclusion of AIDS-afflicted children, but rests on medical opinion as determined on a case-by-case basis, Burney said.
