A Monroe County man is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an accident along Knob Road at James Court that occurred on March 23.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to the accident and identified the driver as Steven Schwartz, 49, of Mt. Pocono. Schwartz's vehicle left the road and struck some bushes and trees.Schwartz was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
