'Crinoline' in fashion at Eckley Miners' Village lecture Series

"The Rise and Fall of the Crinoline" will be the topic of Eckley Miners' Village annual spring lecture on Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m. Admission to the event, in the museum's auditorium, is free.

Village resident and volunteer Karen Esak will deliver a photographic survey, supported by her narration, of the changes in women's Victorian fashions from the 1840s through the turn of the century.The lecture series is free.Walking tours are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on weekends in September and October. Walking tours are contingent on staff availability and weather conditions.
