The Jim Thorpe Memorial Heart and Cancer Foundation dedicated to the memory of the "greatest athlete of the first 50 years of the 20th century," has announced plans for a nation-wide campaign to raise funds for a $10-million hospital and diagnostic center for the care and treatment of heart and cancer patients. Foundation President David Shinberg said the plans call for the ultimate erection of a 500-bed hospital and rehabilitation center for heart and cancer victims.
