Camera Club

The Palmerton Camera Club will meet at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 24, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. The topic for the evening will be taking photos with your cell phone.Lenten servicesJerusalem UCC, Jerusalem Lutheran Church, St. Matthew's UCC, Salem UCC, and Salem-St. Paul Lutheran will gather together for midweek Lenten Services.On Wednesday, March 30, the service will be hosted by St. Matthew's UCC, Kunkletown. A soup and sandwich supper will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by worship at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Mike Eckroth will be preaching.The host church provides the soup and dessert, and those attending shall bring along a sandwich.Community supperA free community supper will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, March 24, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. Come for a free meal and fellowship.Palmerton LibraryThe Palmerton Area Library has a special event planned for the Friday, April 8 story hour. State Rep. Doyle Heffley will read to the children during the story hour beginning at 10:30 a.m. He will be available afterward for a "meet and greet" for parents and other patrons who wish to talk with him or express their concerns.Holy Trinity LutheranOn Wednesday, March 30, Lenten services will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. A soup and sandwich meal will be from 6-7 p.m., and worship will be from 7 to 7:30 p.m.St. John Neumann Regional SchoolSt. John Neumann Regional School will hold several special events in the weeks to come.On April 14, students will present Living Stations at Sacred Heart Church in Palmerton at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public.On April 20, students will present Living Stations at St. Nicholas Church in Walnutport at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public.
