State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 8:11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Maria A. Carrazana, 46, of Long Pond, and John Wawrzynski, 66, of Effort, were both westbound. Wawrzynski was driving a 2003 Mack truck with snowplow and plowing the left lane.Carrazana attempted to pass the truck in the right lane, lost control of her 2001 Chrysler and slid into the path of the plow.The plow struck the front driver side of the Chrysler.After impact the Chrysler continued to spin in a counter-clockwise direction and struck the plow a second time.No one was injured in the incident. Troopers said Carrazana was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
