Right now, there are only 19 Indians on the roster, so Yob hopes the team will stay injury free for the majority of the season.Quotable "I'm looking for the team to improve each and every day. My initial goal is to qualify for districts. However, if we improve our play and are competitive each and every game, then I will consider it a successful season. The boys were competitive and improved during the Fall season, and I'm hoping the girls will follow suit," Head coach David Yob.NORTHERN LEHIGHHead coach John Sitaras (fourth season)Assistant coaches Jason ReinhartLast year's record 3-15 overall (1-12 CL)League Colonial LeagueDistrict 11 classification AA/AAAKey losses Addie George, Brianna Riddick, Amanda Schippers, Emily MulcahyKey returnees Nikki Czarnecki (Sr., Defender), Shelby Snyder (Sr., Defender), Casey Gavala (So., Mid-fielder), Marissa Fatzinger (Jr., Defender), Brook Wagner (Jr., Defender), Kaylee Owens (Jr., Defender), Kirsten Leskkowich (Jr., Midfielder)Others to watch Rachel Pappas (Fr., Defender/Midfielder), Megan Kutchera (Jr., Midfielder), Morgan Kravetz (So., Midfielder)Strengths Despite experiencing the heartbreak of losses more than enjoyment of wins a year ago, Sitaras stated the returning Bulldogs entered pre-season drills with the right attitude for the game. Their determination to become better could payoff in more victories this season.Weaknesses The Bulldogs are low in numbers, 16 making up this year's entire roster, which will make it difficult for Sitaras to give his 11 starters must rest, which means the Bulldogs need to stay injury free this season.Quotable "We have only 16 players, but I'm very proud of the hard work and commitment that these girls have displayed. We have great leadership in our two seniors, along with Casey Gavala, and several other players who have stepped up. We will play hard and try to win every game. This is a special group of girls that refuses to quit. Against all odds we have set our sights on a new school record and our first district berth," Head coach John Sitaras.NORTHWESTERNHead coach Kelly Bleam (13th season)Assistant coaches Aurie Kubat, Jordan SmithLast year's record 18-4 overall (11-2, Colonial League Champions)League Colonial LeagueDistrict 11 classification AA/AAAKey losses Seneca Tucker, Katie IobstKey returnees Katie Hallingstad (Sr.), Katie Hughes (Sr.), Kelly Boyd (Sr.)Others to watch Emily Iobst (Jr.), Haylee Kubat (Jr.), Rachel Kester (Jr.)Strengths The Lady Tigers have plenty of maturity together as a team on the field and will utilize that to their advantage. There is definitely a sign of good team dynamics in the early-going, as the Tiger players have come up through the program together and that should translate into solid team chemistry.Weaknesses A challenge for all of the small school programs this year, including the Tigers, is competing in a one class post season tournament against bigger schools.Quotable "The team's goal this season, which is a goal for every season, is to return to post season play at the end of the year," Head coach Kelly Bleam.PALMERTONHead coach Barry Hahn (fourth season)Assistant coaches Bill Strauch, Jen Hahn, Tara Anders, Dom Fantasia, Jody MisserLast year's record 6-10 overall (3-10 CL)League Colonial LeagueDistrict 11 classification AA/AAAKey losses Katie Westermann, Jill Farkas, Shelby PelczynskiKey returnees Sarah Andrews (Sr.), Cindy George (Sr.) , Alex Paulinho (Sr.), Casey Rinfert (Sr.), Morgan Meyer (Jr.), Kylee Turko (Jr.).Others to watch Lauren David (Jr.), Kelsey Eaton (Jr.), Brooke Horn (So.), Katie Rinfert (So.).Strengths Palmerton lost just one senior from the 2010 season and is returning its strongest team in years. The Bombers also had more players play fall club ball and in the indoor league this off season than ever before. The Bombers also have more depth than they have had in recent memory.Weaknesses It will be the first time that some of these players have played together as a team. Hahn is hoping that after a game or two things will mesh well.Quotable "This is the strongest team that I have fielded in four years. We have good depth at all positions. I am looking forward to an outstanding season," Head coach Barry Hahn.PLEASANT VALLEYHead coach Tim Hinton (third season)Assistant coaches Derek Strohl, James Shoopack, and Alex WunderLast year's record 15-5-1 overall (Mountain Valley Conference champions)League Mountain Valley ConferenceDistrict 11 classification AA/AAAKey losses Vicky Cimino, Sam Cunningham, Jackie Giuliano, Kelsey McGarvey, Mel NikocevikKey returnees Hannah Bernier (Jr., Midfield/Forward), Dianna Connor (So., Forward), Olivia Cote (Sr., Defender), Brenna Courtright (Sr., Defender), Kayla Dorney (Sr., Midfield/Forward), Sarah Elmonicir (Jr., GK), Katie Forte (Jr., Midfield/Forward), Kristin Hart (Sr., Defender/Midfield), Kayla Kishbaugh (So., Midfield), Maggie Patterson (Sr., Midfield), Sami Phillips (Sr., Midfield), Kelly Roden (Sr., Defender), Kira Sever (Sr., Forward), Aimee Sokolowski (Jr., Forward)Others to watch Nicole Cebulski (Sr., Forward), Maria Cimino (So., Midfield), Dana McAllister (Fr., Defender/Midfield/Forward), Janelle Pastrana (Fr., GK), Emily Schlogl (So., Midfield/Forward), Emily Skutnik (Sr., Midfield)Strengths Hinton feels the strength of the program lies in the returning players. He said that experience covers a majority of his starting lineup. The third-year coach stressed the returnees gained a lot of experience last year and return with an extended knowledge of the game and desire to build off of it. On top of it, the Bears are blessed with senior leadership, which Hinton believes is another area that will help the Bears be as competitive as possible.Weaknesses The area of concer that is bothering Hinton right now in the midst of preseason is the Bears' drive to continue to grow as a team and improve. The Bears also need to develop consistency with their goalkeepers as they are inexperienced in varsity play.Quotable "My expectations for my team is to have fun and build off of what we did last year. I would like to see us improve our record, especially out of conference. If we play as a team we will continue to be competetive in both the Mountain Valley Conference and Districts and try to win championships." Head coach Tim Hinton.
