A man made off with an extra $100 in currency after a theft by deception incident that happened about 7:15 p.m. March 5 at the Giant Supermarket in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said the individual entered the store and purchased an item by using a $100 bill, and then took another $100 bill out of his pocket, asking the clerk for $200 in $20 bills. Police said after receiving the money the man fled the scene.
