Driver safetyThe Outreach Committee of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will sponsor a driver safety course on Saturdays, April 2 and 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church hall.The class will be presented by the

A.A.R.P. and will include eight-hours of instructions presented in two four-hour sessions.The class is designed for those attending for the first time and those desiring a more in-depth presentation.Those 50 and older are encouraged to attend the classroom-only course.Drivers completing the course will receive a certificate that entitles them to a rate reduction on their automobile insurance.Anyone interested in the course can contact Dorothy at the parish center (Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), (570) 645-2282, or Mary Ellen, 645-3719, in the evening.Parish missionSt. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will hold a Parish Mission from Sunday through Tuesday, March 20-22.The Sisters of Reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus will present the mission on "St. Faustian and the Message of the Divine Mercy."Sunday's service will begin at 6 p.m. on "The Message of the Divine Mercy."
