State police at the Fogelsville barracks said a New Tripoli man has been committed to the Lehigh County Prison, Allentown, on a warrant that had been issued for his arrest after an incident at 12:30 p.m. March 11.

Police said James Edward Hoover was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after an incident at 8781 Muse Road, Weisenberg Township.Police said the victim is a 15-year-old girl from New Tripoli, who told police the accused assaulted her several times and attempted to his her with his vehicle.
