Attorney Jeffrey Bowe (right), secretary of the non-profit Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation, presents a check for $3,000 to Tamaqua Area School District Superintendent Carol Makuta. The Raider Foundation was formed to assist the district with projects outside of its regular budgetary process. The foundation has purchased iPads for the high school library, presented grants to teachers and is currently working to refurbish the district's elementary libraries.
