Mrs. Bertha Melber, funeral directress, and Jon Prizer, Central Railroad of New Jersey official, both of Mauch Chunk, have received the certification of the County Commodity Distribution Board to purchase automobiles under the rationing regulations. During February there were 31 applications for tires in the area. Six were disallowed. There were three passenger car tires authorized for purchase and 17 tires for trucks.
