A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident that occurred on Thursday, March 10, at the Shop Rite store along SR209, in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said about 4:20 p.m. loss prevention personnel of the store observed Chems Salima Villanueva, 30, of Kunkletown, place $88.27 worth of merchandise under a black jacket in the front basket of a shopping cart.Villanueva then paid for $164.06 worth of merchandise then exited the store without paying for the other items, troopers said.
