Lions District U plans officers training program

Lions District 14 U Club Officers Training will held in the upcoming weekends. In Region II will be held on March 12, West Penn Annex, 5 Municipal Road; West Penn Township; and in Region III, training will be held March 26 at Pine Grove Lions Den, Pine Grove

Each of the training sessions will follow the same schedule:* 9 a.m. to noon, presidents, vice presidents and board of directors.* noon to 12:30 p.m., lunch for all presidents, vice presidents, board of directors, secretaries, treasurers* 12:30 to 1 p.m., introduction to Club Excellence process* 1 to 3 p.m. secretary and treasurer trainingThere is no charge for anything, but it is important that we know who is coming so that we can plan to have the correct number of hand outs and enough food for all.Each club should provide the name and office for each Lion attending and contact information (address, phone number and email address) to PDGs Ed and Judy Dudley at (570) 386 2917 or by email

tdudley@ptd.net.Throughout the four counties of 14 U, nominating committees are meeting to start the process of selecting next year's officers for our Lions and Lioness Clubs.From the International President to all of the Club Officers, terms of office are one year.One of the requirements for a club to receive the Club Excellence Award is that the officers must attend Club Officers Training.In addition to covering the duties and skills for each office, there will be information provided to access or file information at LCI even if you don't own a computer; tips for making the job easier, some time management skills, and the Club Excellence Process.The Club Excellence Process is a structured self-improvement program for clubs.
