The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce has extended its deadline for its ongoing logo and motto contests.

Two separate contests are being held, one for a new logo and one for a new motto.The contest is open to all age groups, individuals or organizations and each category must be entered separately.Prizes will be awarded in each in each category.Entries must submitted to the chamber office, located at 114 West Broad Street, by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8.The winning submissions will be unveiled locally at the chamber's annual dinner, scheduled this year for Wednesday, April 27.Call the Chamber office for more information at (570) 668-1880.A complete set of rules/guidelines is available on the chamber's website (www.tamaqua.net) or can be picked up at the chamber office during business hours.
