Theft of copper being probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of copper wiring from a Carbon County property.

Troopers said the property of George Dwinell, 1685 Walnut Drive, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, was entered and about 150 feet of copper wiring was removed from the back yard. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 7 and Tuesday, March 1.Another theft incident is being investigated. Joshua Gerhart, 31, of Kunkletown, reported a wood stove was removed from a shed on his rental property at 520 Center St., Parryville. The incident was reported on Tuesday, March 1.A shooting incident is also being probed. Troopers said an unknown person shot a small caliber rifle at the residence of Leonard Rickley, 53, of 565A Molasses Valley Rd., in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County. The incident was reported at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
