Leadership Council students from the Tamaqua Area High School held a dress down for Tamaqua students to raise pet food and monetary donations for the Pottsville Hillside SPCA during their Feed Furry Friends in February drive.
The students were also treated to Breezy, a well-behaved border collie dog and Hillside SPCA mascot. In addition to $868 raised , students collected dozen of bags and boxes of pet food donations. Students from the Tamaqua Life Skills class also took part in the donation presentation.Tamaqua Senior High School Principal Stephen Toth stated his appreciation to all the teachers and students that worked hard to put this drive together.
