A Carbon County woman is facing criminal charges.

State police at Lehighton said Stephanie Marie Pranzo, 35, of Jim Thorpe, has been charged with theft, fraud and forgery. She is alleged to have passed two counterfeit money orders for $970 each at the Jim Thorpe National Bank branch office along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.The incident occurred on Feb. 15 at 10:54 a.m., troopers said.
