Schuylkill driver facing DUI count

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one- vehicle crash. State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, along Valley Road, at the intersection with Lower Road, in Walker Township.

Troopers said Justin Lindenmuth, 25, of Quakake, was driving a 2009 Volkswagen GTI southbound when he lost control at the intersection. The car went off the left side of the road and hit a utility pole. Lindenmuth and his passenger, Matthew Barnisky, 23, of Brockton, were not injured.Troopers said Lindenmuth was found to be under the influence and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.Damages to the vehicle were termed heavy and it had to be towed.
