A tractor-trailer loaded with furniture experienced mechanical difficulties early yesterday morning while descending the Summit Hill-Lansford Hill (Route 902) and smashed through a Lansford home in a spectacular crash that destroyed one home and damaged another. The accident happened at 9:01, where the truck demolished the home of the Kocon family. The home is located at the intersection of Abott and Springgarden Street and is the same one severely damaged by a truck which lost its brakes on the hill several years ago.
