Crashes probed

State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes probed by troopers recently.

On Feb 16 about 11:20 a.m. Corey R. Borger, 26, of Kunkletown, was backing out of a parking spot at the Kresgeville Deli in Polk Township, Monroe County, and backed into a parked 2005 Ford F250 truck with his 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt.After impact Borger fled the scene but was later located. He will be charged with accidents involving damage to a vehicle.Troopers investigated a crash about 8:39 p.m. on Feb. 18 along SR248 near Club Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Jason J. Eiden, 33, of Walnutport, was operating a 2000 Chevrolet Impala westbound when he struck a boulder that was on the roadway. The Impala overturned upon impact.Eiden and a passenger, William Hall, 7, of Plymouth, Luzerne County, were injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Palmerton and Lehighton ambulances. Another passenger, Karen M. Hall, 28, of Plymouth, was not injured.
