One high school band member from Tamaqua Area High School has been selected to participate in the 2011 Susquehanna University Honors Band, to be held at the university Feb. 18-20.

Selected was Erin Zeigler, oboe.The festival bands will be under the batons of Jenny Stogner-Neff, Director of Bands at Bala Cynwyd Middle School in the Lower Merion School District and Dr. Eric L. Hinton, Director of Bands at Susquehanna.The festival will culminate in a grand concert at the Weber Chapel Auditorium on the campus of Susquehanna University on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend.
