Lions ClubThe monthly meeting of the Summit Hill Lions Club will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale. Since February is Heart Health Month, the program will be on "Chest Pain Awareness."Members planning to attend should contact club president Dr. Kenneth Vermillion before Friday, Feb. 18.St. Paul LutheranThe schedule for St. Paul Lutheran Church for Sunday, Feb. 20, is as follows: Sunday school 9 a.m., and service of worship, 10:30 a.m. The Rev. John Hazel, pastor, will preside.The parish's Confirmation class will also meet on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m.St. Paul's will hold a congregational council meeting on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m."Donut Nite" festivities at the church will take place on Tuesday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m. with fun, fellowship and "donuts," including a "crazy hat" contest. Anyone wishing to share their talent is asked to contact Gary Blake, (570) 645-3471.Food distributionThe Summit Hill Food Pantry distributes food boxes to the needy in town on a monthly basis. Dropoffs are usually made on the fourth Tuesday of the month.Anyone needing assistance or knowing of less fortunate famililes in town that can use the help can contact Rose Marie Armon, (570) 645-3604 or Sandra Hill, 645-4617, for further information about the program.Scripture sharingThe weekly scripture sharing sessions sponsored by St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held tonight at 7 o'clock in the parish rectory.Little AngelsLittle Angels Pre-School, a division of Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, is accepting registrations for the 2011-2012 school year.
