Pocono DUI arrests reported

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on three driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers over the past weekend.

On Friday, Feb. 11, about 12:28 a.m. officers were dispatched to A Pocono Country Place main gate for a possible domestic dispute. On scene officers made contact with Jesus Romero Ortiz, 22, of Tobyhanna, the driver of a vehicle. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results.On Sunday, Feb. 13, about 1:30 a.m. officers made a vehicle stop along SR196 at A Pocono Country Place for a vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Alexander Blaine, 47, of East Stroudsburg. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the PMC for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results.Also on Sunday, at 3:59 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop along SR611 in Mt. Pocono. The driver was identified as Jonathan Weeks, 30, of Bronx, N.Y. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the PMC for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results.
