The Borough of Tamaqua Street Department continues snow removal operations this week and has announced the schedule for Thursday and Friday, Feb. 10 and 11. The crew will begin operations at 12:01 a.m. each day.

On Thursday, snow clearing operations will be done on Union Street, from Market east to the end; and Washington Street, Elm to Lafayette. Friday's streets will include: Spruce Street, Center to Stadium Hill; Pitt Street, Lafayette to Yetten Circle.Both sides of the streets will be included.All vehicles must be moved from the posted streets. Vehicles that remain on the posted streets will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.Snow removal will continue as needed and residents will receive notice of additional streets that will be cleared.This schedule is subject to change, depending on weather conditions.
