At an adjourned meeting of Mauch Chunk Town Council, the new Diligent Hose House and heating plant were accepted and the contractors ordered paid. Neast and Co. constructed the building. G. M. Genshart installed the heating system. In other business, George Dolon proposed that a committee be appointed in advocating the construction of a motor road to Flagstaff Park, via the abandoned trolley road. Action was deferred.
