Saturday's weather caught most drivers off-guard as early-morning freezing rain and sleet provided our area roadways with a layer of slick ice that made traveling very dangerous. Pictured are West Penn Police and fire police staged at the SR-309 and SR-443 intersection in Snyders while they close the road and crews remove a stuck tractor trailer located on the other side of the Blue Mountain hill and while PennDOT de-ices the roadway.
