Murphy Bennett, a Tamaqua Area School graduate, has been named to the Dean's list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for the fifth straight semester.

Bennett is a junior student, majoring in deaf education. She is in her second year as president of Sign In, a sign language performance group that performs to music. She is also a member of Phil Eta Sigma National Honor Society.Bennett is secretary of the IUP women's rugby club which finished 22nd in the nation last season.Murphy is the daughter of Rick and Debbie Bennett of Tamaqua.
