A Lebanon County driver, who was involved in a crash on New Year's Day in which her passenger was killed, has been charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Fern Ridge said Crystal M. Stager, 20, of Lebanon, was driving drunk along Toll Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, about 6 a.m. Jan. 1 when her vehicle left the road while southbound and crashed into trees.Her passenger, Brandon L. Oblinsky, 26, of Lebanon Township, was pronounced dead at the scene. Stager was flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of injuries.Troopers said blood tests revealed that Stager was over the legal limit of .08 percent at the time of the crash.
